Nature - Based
Urban Solutions

Embrace a future where urban spaces thrive through nature-based innovations.

ABOUT US

NAU Foundation is a Section 8 organisation dedicated to advancing ecological awareness through multidisciplinary creative practices. Our work spans across diverse sectors, integrating visual arts, music, literature, design, architecture, and digital media with evidence-based environmental advocacy. We focus on developing nature-based solutions and sustainable interventions in both urban and rural contexts, using art as a powerful tool to drive environmental awareness.

Our trans-disciplinary research modalities bridge the gap between creativity and science, allowing us to craft innovative solutions that not only inspire but also educate communities and stakeholders. By fostering collaborations across the arts and environmental sectors, NAU aims to create impactful, scalable initiatives that contribute to long-term ecological resilience.

Whether partnering with government bodies, philanthropic institutions, or private individuals, our goal is to build a future where nature, art, and community thrive together.

Mission

Dedicated to fostering ecological awareness and environmental action through multidisciplinary creative practices. We aim to cultivate a deep connection between humans and nature by exploring the intersections of art, architecture, and urbanism. By promoting the conservation of small but vital species and championing sustainable development, we aspire to reshape urban environments, ensuring they nurture biodiversity, ecological balance, and cultural resilience. Through education, community engagement, and innovative design, we strive to inspire a collective effort toward preserving our planet’s delicate ecosystems for future generations.

Vision

NAU Foundation envisions a world where urban spaces and natural ecosystems coexist in harmony, with thriving biodiversity integrated into the fabric of our cities. We aspire to lead a global movement that redefines development, placing ecological sensitivity and cultural heritage at the forefront of urban planning and design. Through creative collaborations, education, and community-driven initiatives, we aim to inspire a future where all beings—large and small—are valued, and where sustainable, nature-focused urban living becomes the norm, ensuring resilience and wellbeing for generations to come.

THE SPACE

NAU Living Labs is an adaptive reuse of a 60-year-old industrial warehouse, tucked away within the wild serenity of a mixed-use estate. The exterior is a sanctuary for urban greens, offering a thriving habitat for diverse flora and fauna, a living testament to our commitment to biodiversity. Inside, vast open spaces with towering ceilings, raw exposed brickwork, and natural textures create an inspiring canvas for artistic expression and intellectual exchange.

The adaptive design invites reflection and creativity, seamlessly blending the rustic beauty of the past with the innovative spirit of today. Each corner exudes character—a fusion of natural light, reclaimed materials, and modern installations—that speaks to the core values we cherish at NAU: nature, art, and community.

NAU Living Labs is more than a space; it’s an experience, an invigorating ecosystem where ideas flourish. From intimate community gatherings to immersive art exhibitions, from forward-thinking discussions to nature-inspired events, this space is a cultural incubator. Visitors find themselves surrounded by the hum of nature, while indoors, the atmosphere ignites curiosity and deep thinking.

The carefully curated community events, exhibitions, and think-tank discussions serve as a bridge between art and ecology, making

NAU Living Labs is the perfect destination for those seeking to explore the future of urban living, sustainability, and creative dialogue. It's a place to gather, to learn, to connect, and to be inspired—a living, breathing intersection of nature and design that invites all who enter to engage with a bold yet achievable vision of a better world.
